Our Story
MOAA’s Surviving Spouse Advisory Committee (SSAC) recognized a need to reach more members. Following the lead of MOAA’s first virtual chapter, the Nurses, the SSAC felt that this was a way to communicate with other Surviving Spouses.
On March 5, 2018, the Board of Directors officially chartered MOAA’s second virtual chapter. The Surviving Spouse Virtual Chapter is an affinity group, with members who can share information in a virtual environment with colleagues seeking to work together as we each adjust to a 'new normal'.
The Chapter seeks to make a difference locally, state-wide, and nationally, because as members of national MOAA and its local chapters and councils, we “NEVER STOP SERVING.”

We invite you to join us in this exciting initiative. Our goal is to have all fifty states represented. Recognizing that everyone has a busy life, members can participate to the degree they are able.
